LASERS IN ENDODONTICS

LASER(Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiations) was introduced into the dentistry by Theodore Harold Maiman in 1960s. Lasers have vast applications in dentistry beginning from the early diagnosis of incipient caries to the removal of large neoplastic lesions. In the field of Endodontics. Lasers have proven to be a boon especially in terms of disinfection of the root canals that plays a crucial role in the overall success of endodontic procedures. Lasers have also contributed the minimally invasive dentistry. This book covers the theoretical and practical aspects of lasers and implementation of lasers in clinical practice that might provide a chance to readers to gain knowledge and practice lasers at an early stage.
