Lassa fever in Guinea

This book provides a general overview of the level of knowledge, attitudes and practices related to Lassa fever of health workers working in 5 public health facilities in the city of Faranah (Guinea). It also discusses the socio-demographic factors that may influence this level of knowledge, the type of attitude and the nature of practices that health workers might have in dealing with this disease.

As a medical doctor by profession, Mory Cherif Haidara studied at University of Guinea and holds a Master's degree in Public Health. He worked in the infectious diseases department of the teaching hospital before joining the virology research centre as a research assistant. This book represents his first scientific work published internationally.
