L'objet d'étude est le roman migrant au Québec et en Scandinavie. Les études analysent les questions de la performativité, des conflits signifiants et de la créolisation.
The object of study is the migrant novel in Quebec and Scandinavia. The studies analyse the questions of performativity, meaningful conflicts and creolization.

Les articles dans ce volume sont écrits par des chercheurs en littérature québécoise contemporaine et en littérature scandinave et finlandaise d'aujourd'hui. Il y a trois points de départs thématiques. Le premier est la performativité. Quels types d'actes performatifs (linguistique, ethnique, sexuel, etc.) sont mis au centre dans le roman contemporain ? Le conflit signifiant est le deuxième point de départ. Au lieu d'étudier l'assimilation de l'(im)migrant dans la culture majoritaire, faudrait-il plutôt étudier les conflits tels que ceux-ci se manifestent aujourd'hui ? Troisièmement, il y a la créolisation. Si le monde se créolise, cela veut dire, entre autres, que le local fera partie du global et que le global, à son tour, fera partie du local.
The articles collected in this volume are written by researchers in contemporary Quebec literature and in Scandinavian and Finnish literature. There are three different thematic starting points. The first one is the question of performativity. What kinds of performative acts (linguistic, ethnic, sexual, etc.) are placed at the centre in the contemporary novel? Meaningful conflicts is the second one. Instead of studying the question of the possible assimilation of the (im)migrant into majority culture, should one rather start by studying conflicts as they occur today? Third, there is creolization. If the world is creolized, this means for example that the local will be part of the global and that the global will become part of the local.

Svante Lindberg s intéresse au roman francophone contemporain, à la théorie littéraire et aux études comparées du roman québécois et suédois ainsi qüà l uvre de Michel del Castillo. Svante Lindberg s research interests include the contemporary French-language novel, literary theory, comparative studies of the Québécois and Swedish novels as well as the work of Michel del Castillo.
