LEADERSHIP

Leadership is a cross cutting and most widely used expression in many areas of human activity, including armed forces, business, politics, religion, sports, and the like. It requires skills which many who have taken up the mantle have lacked and therefore little wonder the problems the leaders in question and the institutions they have headed have faced. It is not strange to mention that some leaders have had to be chased out by their subjects; sometimes with the support of external powers or forces. It is important to note that good leadership is a virtue. The book analyses the distinction between a leader and a boss, bad leader, informal leader, leadership style, behavior and challenges.

Joe Diawo ist Doktorand in der Abteilung für landwirtschaftliche Beratung und ländliche Soziologie der Njala Universität. Derzeit ist er Dozent in der Abteilung für Community Development Studies, die er seit vier Jahren leitet. Der Autor ist Präsident der Senior Staff Association, eine Position, die er seit Februar 2017 innehat.
