Olivier Serrat is currently pioneering research in environmental peacebuilding at Georgetown University. As the former head of the Knowledge Management Center at the Asian Development Bank (2008–2012), and with extensive experience in environmental management across Asia and the Pacific, Olivier has been a relentless advocate for learning and innovation. He is the acclaimed author of several influential works, including Leading Organizations of the Future: A New Framework (Springer, 2023), Digital Solutions: Reframing Leadership (Palgrave Macmillan, 2023), Leading Solutions: Essays in Business Psychology (Springer, 2021), Knowledge Solutions: Tools, Methods, and Approaches to Drive Organizational Performance (Springer, 2017), and Learning in Development (2010). Additionally, he produced Guidelines for Knowledge Partnerships (2011) and ADB: Reflections and Beyond (2010). Olivier has authored numerous other publications and spearheaded multiple initiatives to prime and energize knowledge, organizations, people, and technology for learning. His expertise spans environmental management, evaluation, information and communications technology, knowledge management, organizational effectiveness, project design, project implementation, public relations, and strategic planning. Olivier holds an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Kent, a master's degree in agricultural economics from the University of London, and a Ph.D. in organizational leadership from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
