Lean, Agile and Leagile Manufacturing and Plant Performance of SMEs

As firms seek to improve their plant performance in a time based manufacturing landscape, they should consider the important role of the following aspect: Technology menus that come along with imported equipment, integrating the suppliers in the manufacturing system, building ties with selling agents. Despite these finding, it is important that future research focuses on the factors that would enable successful implementation of time based manufacturing practices and external factors that would which that determine the degree to which these practices would benefit their firms. In addition, it recommended that future research focuses at implementation of time based manufacturing in a particular industrial category.
