Lean Manufacturing Implementation

In a highly dynamic and competitive industry, manufacturing companies are striving to cut costs and boost their processes efficiency. Relying on Lean Manufacturing can help the company to reach these goals. This cannot be achieved overnight, unless Lean culture is properly deployed in the plant. In this book, the Value Stream Mapping technique is established to identify wastes at macro level and the Spaghetti Diagram tool to detect wastes at a micro level with more depth. These diagnoses are vital steps to detect potential problems and prepare for the next step which is the application of different Lean techniques to remedy these problems and implement suitable improvements in the plant. Nidal Bahloul was born in Msaken, Tunisia, where he studied at the National Engineering School of Sousse and successfully completed two degrees: National Engineer Diploma in Mechatronics and Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering & Manufacturing. Currently, he is working as a quality manager and development engineer at Frank GmbH in Germany.
