Lean manufacturing

Intense inter-firm competition has driven companies to incorporate new organisational strategies in order to constantly improve the performance of their production and management processes. This book presents the development of a system for supplying raw materials to the production line of a company in the auto parts sector that works under the lean manufacturing philosophy. This system aims to improve the internal flow of materials and optimise the labour and equipment used. The instructional objective of this book is for the reader (entrepreneur, consultant, researcher, student, among others) to be able to see lean production beyond its implementation, in other words, to reflect on the techniques used to consolidate and maintain this philosophy in large companies.
