Lean Nursing Leadership

Leading a group of people is a skill that takes time and effort and needs dedication. Leadership is about drawing out where leaders need to go and what he/she wants to achieve as a team. There are different styles of leadership, these styles have been studied through leadership theories, some are more successful than others in achieving organizational goals and maintain effective relationships with different departments as well as with the nurses.Recently a new approach of leadership emerged from Toyota Production System (TPS) that concentrates on eliminating the non-value-add from the working process or the service, so the value reaches the client in time and with no defect.
