Learning Strategies to Facilitate Students' English Learning

The text compiles two Action Research works on Learning Strategies. The strategies were selected in order to improve oral skills and listening skills , which according to some research are the two most challenging skills to develop or improve in Mexican English learners. The first work focused on 8 Learning to learn strategies adapted to facilitate speaking skills. The work was based on two dimensions learning strategies and learning styles. The Second work was intended to support reading authentic texts through the application of basic reading strategies, skimming, scanning, predicting, and inferring.

They have been professors in the various courses offered at the Córdoba Language Center of the Veracruz University, focusing on children, youth, adults and University students in conversation and text comprehension courses.
