LEDs and their influence on equipment in event technology

This paper deals with LED technology and its influence on event technology equipment, specifically spotlights. After a brief introduction, the second part explains the basics for the comparisons that follow, as well as how LEDs work and the resulting advantages and disadvantages. The third part deals with the comparison of LED spotlights and spotlights with conventional light sources. First, a general comparison is made, followed by a direct comparison of devices currently in use in the industry. The aim is to produce results that are as practical as possible. The fourth part briefly describes the development of LED technology itself, so that in the fifth part, the results of the comparison and the devices themselves can be compared with the development. This also allows conclusions to be drawn about how the development of such spotlights might look in the future. The results clearly show that LED spotlights are already preferable in many areas today. However, they also show that there are still some areas where LEDs are not yet good enough due to the current state of research.
