Legal Framework for Devolution in Kenya

In August 2010, Kenyans voted in a new Constitution. This changed the entire governance structure in the country. It brought in Devolution. Kenya opted for a Decentralized form of Government. There were no legal instrument to implement this new phenomena. There is lack of proper understanding of Devolution as a concept. This book provides a brief account for the clamor for a decentralized system of Government in Kenya. It gives an actual understanding of devolution which may be beneficial to students of law, legal practitioners, and lay people. This book comes in handy with analysis of pieces of legislation enacted to implement devolution.
