Leisure time of children and young people with intellectual disabilities is influenced by the environmental factors and personality. Depending on the way it is used, leisure time can become a positive or negative developmental factor. Due to the fact that students with learning disabilities need structured and stimulating environment, it is important to provide leisure activities that will meet these requirements, at the same time respecting the wishes and needs of pupils. This book defines concept of leisure time and pedagogical need of leisure time. Also, leisure time in and out of school is explained and distinguished. In the book are presented results of the research about leisure time activities with pupils in special school. At the end, the book provides useful activities for quality spending leisure time by supporting development of child. The book should help to reveal problem of spending leisure time for students with intellectual disabilities, and should be especially useful to professionals in Education and Rehabilitation, Teachers, or anyone else who would be interested in problem of spending leisure time.
