Leona Lewis, a British pop and R&B singer, has released two studio albums, eight singles and ten music videos on recording label Sony BMG and its subsidiary Syco. Lewis has also featured on a charity single entitled "Just Stand Up!". Lewis rose to fame as the contestant and eventual winner of the third series of British television talent show, The X Factor. Her prize for winning was a Pds. 1 million recording contract with Syco Records. Her first single, "A Moment Like This" was released to success in the United Kingdom and Ireland, becoming the fastest selling single ever by a female artist in the UK. Her follow-up single, "Bleeding Love", received unprecedented success and critical acclaim, becoming the biggest-selling single of 2008 worldwide. Lewis's first studio album, Spirit was released to follow the single in 2007 and was the fastest-selling debut album of all time in the UK and Ireland. The album carries a 9× platinum certification in the UK, and is listed as being the 27th biggest-selling album of all time in that country, despite having being released for just two years prior to the compilation.
