Knowledge of the past or modern history of any subject is necessary to our understanding where the subject came from, where it is now, and where it is going. Some forms of management have existed since the beginning of time. Ever since one human tried to direct another, management thought has been developing. The history of Human Resources Management did not begin at the time when academic professors published their books about Human Resources. They have just discovered the importance of it for successful organizations, but the people management was crucial even in ancient time. The HR history is about the evolution of first communes and growth of first ancient societies.
