BTEX expose to the atmosphere due to the refinery operations of petrochemicals occurred in industry. BTEX vapors are corrosive and toxic substance and can also pose drinking water hazard as they accumulate in ground water. They often stick together in contaminated site and they are more harmful to human than the non-human living things whereas Benzene alone is a well-known human carcinogen.
