Leveling Process Reduce Work in Process

In this new era, competitive advantage is importance to survive in the industries. Recession, low cost demanding and huge growth of competitors required industries to look into their weaknesses and strength as key for improvement. Leveling in manufacturing process is commonly used by multi-model product manufacturer today. Effective manufacturing technique, cost saving and meeting customer demands is an advantages for the manufacturer to be more competitive. Continuous improvement process required to make manufacturing process more efficient. This book provides technique to improve manufacturing process by reducing work in process (WIP) with leveling. Results of process improvement implemented and stimulation is included in proofing the effectiveness. The book can be use as guidelines for manufacturing personnel in improving their manufacturing process and at the same time ensuring customer demands meet.

Baharin obtained his Master of Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia, with 19 years of fields exposure in Production Test System Development. Dr. Faieza obtained her PhD of Virtual Reality from Cardiff University, UK. Her research interests include Virtual Reality, Human Computer Interface and Ergonomics.
