Lexical Signalling in Mark Twain's Modern Novels

This book attempts at identifying the semantic clause relations in two of Mark Twain's modern novels, namely: "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" and "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn". In addition, the authors aim at unfolding the most frequent rhetorical patterns that are used in the above mentioned novels and how they contribute in the process of decoding the writer's messages and causes he is trying to handle via his novels, such as slavery and liberty.
