According to the ISO guide on life cycle assessment principles, LCA means compilation and evaluation of the inputs, outputs and potential environmental impacts of a product system throughout its life cycle. The general categories of environmental impacts needing consideration includes resource use, human health and ecological consequences. For this paper the LCA approach is based on ISO- 14040 standard and focuses on cradle to-gate approach. In this paper the environmental impacts starting from cradle(i.e animal killing, preservation of flayed skin, transportation of the preserved skin are included ) to gate (i.e the glove leather product ready for delivery) will be dealt and then improvement options will be devised for the exaggerated environmental impacts. To do so all the identification and quantification of the inputs and output flows form animal killing to glove leather product delivery, energy usage, transportation and related materials used and wastes released into the environment will be dealt.
