Health is an elusive entity, more than the mere absence of disease and being referred to as quality of life with social, emotional, spiritual and physical functions.A healthy mouth enables an individual to speak, eat and socialize without experiencing active disease,discomfort or embarrassment. A number of lifestyle factors have been related to oral disease occurrence such as individual oral hygiene behavior, dental visiting patterns, use of carbohydrates, particularly sugar use, as well as general lifestyle factors such as smoking and alcohol use.Healthy teeth and gums are more than just an aesthetic or hygiene issue, it's a quality of life issue.Principal oral diseases affecting the populations are "dental caries and periodontal diseases" with etiological factors of sugar in the diet and bacterial dental plaque. Most often, lifestyle is understood as discrete behaviors which are linked directly to health outcomes.Lifestyle is closely linked with the socioeconomic, ie; with parameters also connected with health. Urbanization, Industrialization and Socialization being changes in social life and affect oral and general health of the people.Smoking, alcohol consumption,dietary habit.
