Ligno-Cellulosic Biomass for Production of Bio-Energy in Egypt

There are millions of tons of ligno-cellulosic biomass produced annually all over the world. These cause a lot of economic and environmental problems. Transferring these ligno-cellulosic wastes to bio-energy is an important point of view. This research summarizes the present status of Egypt effort for conversion of ligno-cellulosic biomass to biofuels with special emphasis on bio-ethanol production process.
