Lindsay Ell (born 20 March 1989) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and guitarist who was born in Calgary, Alberta. She recently performed at the South by Southwest music festival, held in Austin, Texas on March 19, 20, 21st 2009, and at the welcome reception of the 2009 Juno Awards held in Vancouver, British Columbia. Lindsay toured with blues guitarist Buddy Guy. Randy Bachman discovered Lindsay when she was only 15 years old. He was given her demo CD by a mutual friend while on tour, and when he listened to it for the first time he said "we've put in the wrong CD. This is Chet Atkins -- not a 15 year old girl. Then my band and I were assured that it was Lindsay Ell playing a complex Tommy Emmanuel piece. From that moment on, a strong relationship was established and Randy proceeded to co-write and produce her first album Consider This.
