Linguistic Assumptions of Articles in English and Arabic Languages

This book displays the fundamental linguistic assumptions of articles in the English and Arabic languages. The book is a very important reference for language learners, researchers and scholars. It highlights the most important issues of Articles in both languages (English & Arabic). The book provides brief examples of Huebner's (1983) classification system in an attempt to display possible Articles use. The book discusses the conflicting issues of Articles use in both English and Arabic languages before highlights the role of transfer and Article syntax. The book shows some notices of the work of Ionin, Ko and Wexler's (2004). It is hoped that potential users of this book would value and extremely make use of the book.

Dados do Autor Mohamed Taha Ali Hassan é sudanês, possui um doutoramento em língua inglesa Universiti Putra Malaysia UPM, MA, UPM e BA Juba University. Trabalhou no Colégio Comboni de Cartum (1993-2000) e no Colégio Universitário Combni (2003-2005). Em 2003 ingressou na Universidade Alzaem Alazhri até agora. Em 2013 tornou-se Professor Assistente.
