Details
Safety of LPG cylinder is a major concern in developing countries like India. This book is focused on identifying certain key areas for improvement in standards where they can be interpreted erroneously. Although the work is based on Indian Standards, the concept can be extended to any other steel cylinder standards across the globe viz. DOT, EN, ISO, BS, CSA, AS etc. Detailed solution was discussed in this book for the identified gaps in standards, with scientific methodology. By implementing this plan, all cylinders produced in a manufacturing location can be verified and ensured that they are compiled to national standards on material compliance. Further, all stakeholders viz. Consumers, Marketing oil companies, accident incident investigators, statutory bodies, certifying agencies of LPG Cylinder business can be benefited by implementing this plan. The method can also be extended to improve safety of cylinder in market by ensuring its material properties during is life cycle. This is currently a major gap in existing national or international standards mentioned above on steel Cylinder specifications.
