Literary Inquiries

This book deals with and analyzes some of the literary works of English Literature in various genres such as poetry, drama, short story, novel and literary criticism. Two Restoration plays and one postmodern play are discussed in depth. Pastoral as a sub genre is covered. The well-known Victorian poet Tennyson is dealt with. Winterson's novel "Sexing the Cherry" is analyzed in detail. Angela Carter's short story "A Souvenir of Japan" is discussed. Stevick's article is studied and finally how recent trends affect English Literature is discussed at the end.
