Lived and Perceived Space

An accomplice look or a spontaneous smile between two passers-by is no less than the contempt for a statue or the social and media conflict over its removal or demolition. Many times walking through a place we do not perceive its historical construction. And the fact is that every space is a mental as well as a physical, ideological as well as political construction. To live the city is to be part of it, to fight for it, to breathe its air or listen to its voices is to be impregnated by it. These pages attempt to address these experiences and perceptions.
