Livelihood Strategies of Tribal Households in Andhra Pradesh

The book on "Livelihood Strategies of Tribal Households in Andhra Pradesh" is divided into eight chapters. The first chapter consists of Introduction to the various livelihood approaches, the need for study, objectives and methodology of the study has been presented. In chapter-II, it has been presented the review of literature relating to livelihoods of Tribal communities. Chapter-III presents the salient features of the study area. Chapter-IV deals with theoretical and practical issues relating to livelihood strategies of tribal households. In chapter-V, the impact of Socio, Demography and Economic factors on livelihoods of tribal households. The assessment of sustainable livelihood strategies among the tribal households has been presented in chapter-VI. Chapter-VII laid emphasis on the determinants of occupational livelihood strategies among the selected tribal households by using multinomial logit model. Finally, chapter-VIII provides summary, conclusions and policy implications relating to suitable livelihood strategies for a better improvement of the status of tribal households in the study area.
