Wie wollen wir in Zukunft wohnen und arbeiten?

tinyBE ist eine globale Plattform für künstlerische Visionen, um das Leben nachhaltig zu gestalten. Als kreatives Labor etabliert tinyBE eine Reihe von Ausstellungen bewohnbarer Skulpturen im öffentlichen Raum und damit Freiraum zum Diskurs über sinnstiftendes Leben. Die für die erste Ausstellung im Sommer 2021 eingeladenen Künstlerinnen entwickelten für tinyBE bewohnbare Skulpturen unter Verwendung nachhaltiger Materialien und einer maximalen Wohnfläche von 30 qm. Die temporär erbauten Objekte wurden in der Metropolregion Frankfurt Rhein-Main mit Standorten in Frankfurt, Darmstadt und Wiesbaden im öffentlichen Raum gezeigt. Das Projekt erzeugt unter Einbeziehung der Besucherinnen einen Diskurs über Themen von Nachhaltigkeit, globaler Migration, der Entwicklung des Menschen, sowohl individuell betrachtet wie auch im Kontext der Gemeinschaft.

Als erster Band eines Inventars neuer Ideen, Techniken und Materialien dokumentiert der Katalog living in a sculpture die bewohnbaren Skulpturen von Caleb Duarte, Onur Gökmen, Christian Jankowski, Alison Knowles, Terence Koh, MY-CO-X, Charlotte Posenenske, Laure Prouvost, Mia Eve Rollow, Sterling Ruby und Thomas Schutte. Mit Textbeiträgen der Kuratorinnen Cornelia Saalfrank und Katrin Lewinsky, sowie Dr. Burkhard Brunn, Lydia Korndorfer, Katrin Lewinsky, Chus Martinez, Celena Ohmer, Lucia Pietroiusti. Eva Claudia Scholtz schrieb das Vorwort, Axel Wintermeyer und Dr. Ina Hartwig ein Grußwort.

How do we want to live in the future?

tinyBE is a global platform for artistic visions to make life sustainable. As a creative laboratory, tinyBE establishes a series of exhibitions of habitable sculptures in public space and thus free space for discourse on meaningful life. The artists developed habitable sculptures for tinyBE using sustainable materials and a maximum living space of 30 sqm. The temporarily built objects were shown in summer 2021 in public spaces in the Frankfurt Rhine-Main metropolitan region with locations in Frankfurt, Darmstadt and Wiesbaden. The project generates a discourse on the issues of sustainability and global migration and human development.

As the first volume of an inventory of new ideas, techniques, and materials, the catalogue tinyBE living in a sculpture documents the inhabitable sculptures of Caleb Duarte, Onur Gökmen, Christian Jankowski, Alison Knowles, Terence Koh, MY-CO-X, Charlotte Posenenske, Laure Prouvost, Mia Eve Rollow, Sterling Ruby, and Thomas Schütte. With text contributions by the curators Cornelia Saalfrank and Katrin Lewinsky, as well as Dr. Burkhard Brunn, Lydia Korndörfer, Katrin Lewinsky, Chus Martínez, Celena Ohmer, Lucia Pietroiusti.
