Living Word

Living Word is a vital and expanding, charismatic congregation situated in Bergen, Norway. It is actually one of the most growing ones in Norway. While The Church of Norway, but also other congregations are struggling to keep their members, Living Word is the exception. Their vision is to be a base for evangelism, mission and churchplanting and through preaching, teaching and ministering helping the people of God into all that God has for them. They want to be a centre of prayer, deliverance and restoration, a spiritual home filled with the love of God and a prophetic voice for the nation. The main characteristics of Living Word are the charismatic meetings, the cell-groups, the healing and the speaking in tongues. Through different surveys done at Living Word I will in this book examine why Living Word is one of the most growing congregations in Norway and take a closer look at the youth members and find out what they find so attractive and appealing with this congregation.

Marian Guddal Hansen is from Lier in Norway. Guddal Hansen has a Cand.mag. degree at The University of Bergen studying religion and culture. She studied to a MA in Religion, Culture and Society at Lancaster University, England in 2002 and wrote her dissertation in Bergen, Norway. Marian Guddal Hansen has worked for The Red Cross since 2005.
