For some years now, Cameroon's elementary school have been faced with a crying lack of teaching materials and a flood of new pedagogical approaches. How can learners construct their knowledge in such a context? Can didactic materials from their immediate environment contribute to the development of their intelligence? This book highlights four types of local teaching materials in relation to the construction of tasks to be carried out by the learner and the development of his intelligence. The content is based on a survey of 357 elementary school teachers in rural areas.
