Logistics Practices and Challenges

This research paper has made a study on the logistics practices of Ethiopian medium and large leather footwear manufacturing firms with regard to customer service, inventory management, supply, transportation and warehousing.The study also tried to identify the critical logistics challenges of the sector,and it is believed that it will have a great significance for footwear manufacturing firms,policy makers and investors.Additionally,the study will serve as a point of departure for further research by academicians.

Melkamu Ayenew Teka is graduate with a B.Sc in Industrial Engineering and M.A in Logistics and Supply Chain Management ,and achieved outstanding results. Previously he was working in Leather Industry Development Institute and contributed a lot for the sector, and currently he is a Sales Representative in Libya Oil Ethiopia Limited(Oilibya).
