The Lonescape is that aspect of our world where we find ourselves when we feel truly forsaken, isolated, or alone; when we feel failure or when we feel dread. We all have been there at one time or another, just like the people we will meet throughout these stories. Like a scientist who has failed to create the perfect warrior. Or an angel mourning her human past. A pure spirit that must die to rise again. A computer desperately trying to save just one life. A pilot who can no longer bear to kill through his machine. Or a killer who wants only to die at the hands of his own. These stories, and more, are snapshots. Bare moments that reveal the despair, frustration and loneliness that exist just behind the normal.
