Each chapter details how the medication's LAI technology utilized by the formulation, the dosing parameters, including missed dosing, pharmacokinetic properties, drug interactions, adverse effects, and preparation and administration instructions. Additionally, each medication chapter describes the efficacy of the formulation in comparison to other LAIs and oral medications. The book provides insight into how to approach a patient to engage in a conversation regarding LAI options. Switching strategies between agents and discontinuation options for patients are also included.
