Long Range Wireless Sensor Network Employing UAV as a Relay Station

This book presents studies on long range and wide area Wireless Sensor Network employing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) as a relay unit via Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Communication Satellite. When UAV equipped with communication payloads can be used to collect information or data from deployed sensor nodes by means of wireless communication in a wide area which cannot be accessed by human due to its remoteness or hazardous (especially in disaster areas).
