Lung of the Elderly

"There is no doubt that, currently, knowledge about human aging represents an important point in all contexts of the health area. Today we are experiencing the population "Ageing" in an exponential manner, both in developing and developed countries. It is a fact that humanity is reaching a longer age range, motivating more and more studies on this new population profile, focusing mainly on the quality of life in all scenarios of the new elderly. Therefore, expanding the knowledge about senescent pulmonary physiological changes and their implications in functional and imaging tests without associated comorbidities, has significant and notorious clinical impact on the health field and members of the general community."
