M-218 was a state trunkline highway in the US state of Michigan that served as a connector route from US 16 in West Novi and ended at M-58 near Pontiac. M-218 was extended into Pontiac in 1937 and deleted in 1963. Proposals in the 1930s would have seen M-218 extended to US 12 near Chelsea and US 25 at Richmond as a de facto Detroit bypass.M-218 began at a junction with US 16 in West Novi, what is present day Wixom. From there, the road traveled north via Wixom Road to present day Pontiac Trail (which at the time was 14-mile (23 km) road) and continued northeast. The route then continued along Pontiac Trail, passing through the communities of Walled Lake, Orchard Lake Village, Keego Harbor and Sylvan Lake before crossing M-58 and terminating at a junction with US 10 in Pontiac.
