Machiavellianism: violation or expression of citizens' rights?

Machiavellian political laws prescribe that we act in a way that promotes human dignity, respect for freedom and the rights of citizens. Indeed, according to Machiavelli, the politician who puts the well-being of the people or the general interest at the forefront of his actions cannot subordinate public interests to personal property. His philosophy, far from being a place where citizens' rights and freedoms are violated, is a ferment, a compass for all princes wishing to bring happiness to their fellow citizens. It is the very exaltation of people's rights.
