Machinability of Aluminum Alloy
Details
This book has been divided in two stages. In stage I, the aim was to find efficiency of metalworking fluid (MF) strategies for sustainable turning of aerospace aluminum alloy. It was machined employing coated carbide inserts under different environment friendly metalworking fluid (MF) strategies namely dry machining, Ranque-Hilsch vortex tube (RHVT),minimum quantity lubrication (MQL), and compressed air. These technologies were investigated in turning with an attempt to study surface roughness and tool wear. The outcome of research was verified by examining samples of surface roughness and tool wear by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
