Air pollution is a complex mixture of toxic components with considerable impacts on humans. The increase in air pollution is of concern for many urban cities in India and other developing countries around the world. This book presents the application of advanced data mining techniques to spatial data of air pollution obtained from Pollution Control Boards (PCBs) and meteorological sources. The motivation for this research comes from the problems faced due to increased air pollution in recent years particularly in urban areas and the possible application of developments in computer science specifically in the domain of data mining tools and technologies to mitigate this practical problem. In this book air pollution analysis and prediction is done using the machine learning techniques.
