Magnetic Storm Effect on the equatorial F2-layer
Details
This book gives a detailed explanation of the magnetic storm effects on the morphology of the equatorial F2 layer: chapter one is a description of the Earth s Atmosphere, its composition and various layers. Chapter two gives the detailed description of the sun s structure and the solar activities that give rise to the formation of the ionosphere and the magnetic storms. Chapter three discusses magnetism, the link between the sun and the earth s magnetic field leading to the formation of geomagnetic storms. Chapter four, is a brief discussion on the Digisonde portable sounder and the Magnetic Data Acquisition System (MAGDAS) which are the instruments used for this research and Chapter five is a display of the various responses of the Ionospheric F-layer to the magnetic storm. The Authors are of the hope that this monograph will be of great help to research students, HF service providers and related fields.
