Mahek Chahal (born Priti Chahal) is a Bollywood actress and a Norwegian model of Punjabi Sikh origin. Mahek was first considered for a role in Ajnabee but was not selected due to her linguistic shortcomings. She joined Kishore Namit's acting school in Mumbai and managed to get a Telugu film titled Neetho, but her dialogues in the film were dubbed. She made her Bollywood debut in 2003 with a role in Nayee Padosan. She also did an item number in Kareena Kapoor starrer Chameli. She has also done a Punjabi film Dil Apna Punjabi with tips films.
