Maize: An Indispensable Plant

Maize is one of the most popular cereals in the world and forms the staple food in many countries including USA, Africa etc. Maize yields and quality traits have continued to increase at a fairly constant rate conditioned with hybrid systems, improved breeding techniques and biotechnology.The aim of this research is to revise the maize and maize products about utilization, maize grain and maize grain quality. Dr. Gül Ebru Orhun is graduated from Trakya University-Tekirdag Agricultural Faculty Horticulture Department. She has obtained her doctorate from the same university in 2010. Her Doctorate dissertation was on inheritance in maize grain yield and quality traits. Her research interests are plant breeding, plant production.
