Malocclusion and Attrition

The research aimed for the precise and quantitative assessment of occlusal bite force, along with the recording of electromyographic activity of muscles of mastication with a newly designed bite force recorder. An association between bite force , occlusal wear and various malocclusions has been demonstrated. Future studies of similar nature exploring association of bite force on etiology of malocclusion and its influence on orthodontic treatment are warranted.

Dr Sarabjeet singh did his masters in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics in 1995 from PGIMER Chandigarh and is presently working as Professor and head of department in Bhojia Dental College , Baddi. He has many national and international publications to his credit. He is specialised in early and adult treatments and lingual orthodontics.
