Narasimha Murthy ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca in Microbiologia presso l'Università di Bangalore e attualmente lavora come Post-doctoral Research Fellow - UGC presso il Dipartimento di Studi in Biotecnologia dell'Università di Mysore, Mysore, India. Ha conseguito un B. Ed. e un Master presso l'Università di Bangalore. Ha alle spalle nove anni di ricerca.
