Autorentext
Mustafa Arici, MD, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine (English), Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey in 1992. He served his residency and fellowship at the Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine and subsequently became a Clinical Research Fellow (Honorary) at the Departments of Nephrology and Cell Physiology and Pharmacology at the University of Leicester School of Medicine, UK. In 2002 he returned to Turkey to join the Division of Nephrology, Department of Internal Medicine at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, becoming Associate Professor of Nephrology in 2003 and Professor of Medicine in the Division of Nephrology in 2007. Dr. Arici has served as General Secretary of the Turkish Society of Hypertension and Renal Diseases and Vice-General Secretary of the Clinical Vascular Biology Society. He has also been a Member of the Board of Directors and Board of Counsellors of KDIGO (Kidney Diseases Improving Global Outcomes). Dr. Arici is Specialty Editor on Webmed Central (WMC) Plus Nephrology and an editorial board member for various journals, including Nephrology Dialysis and Transplantation, Journal of Nephropathology, and World Journal of Nephrology. He is the author of 83 international peer-reviewed publications and 25 book chapters.
