Management of Personnel Records in Tanzania Public Sector

Management of Personnel records is becoming increasing important in supplying crucial information to managers regarding the employees as well as guarantee employee's entitlements. This book describes the findings of a study that examined management of personnel records in the Tanzania public sector in relation to provision of personnel entitlements such as payment of pension. The book underlines the major limitations in managing personnel records and gives special emphasis on the principles that guides successful management of personnel records throughout its life cycle.

Titus is a Lecturer and head of the department of Archives and Records Management programs of the Tanzania Public Service College. He is currently working as a Consultant in Archives and Records Management Project at the United Nations Economic Commission of Africa (UNECA). He holds MA (IS) and BA (hons) of University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
