The study brings to fore the pattern and determinants of poultry waste and shallow well water management, utilization and their implications on productivity and on farmers health using ecosystem Aproach to human health concept. It analyzes the socio-economic attributes and gender differentials of poultry waste and shallow well water users and further determines the effects of farmers socio-cultural variables on poultry waste and shallow well water management practices. It also relates poultry waste and shallow well water constituents with malaria infections and reported cases of gastro-intestinal infections among farmers and appraises institutional and agricultural framework for poultry waste and shallow well water utilization for urban agriculture in Lagos Nigeria

Dr. Vide Adedayo is an astute lecturer and researcher teaching with passion courses in Agricultural Geography, Urban Agriculture, Urbanization across culture and other human related subjects at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. Adedayo is also an IDRC award recipient trained in the concept of Ecosystem Approach to Human Health (Ecohealth).
