Manual for PLAQUE CONTROL

Plaque control remains an essential element for oral health. Mechanical plaque control is one of the key elements of the practice of dentistry. It permits each individual to assume responsibility for his/her own oral health on daily basis. The purpose of this book is to discuss the mechanical methods for plaque removal, namely, toothbrushes and interdental cleaning aids and their adverse effects on the oral tissues. It will help under graduate and post graduate students, clinicians to educate patients about daily plaque control and encourage to practice religiously, as good plaque control facilities the return to health for patients with gingival and periodontal diseases, prevents tooth decay, and preserves oral health for a lifetime.
