Manufacturing performance management

This book presents a self-assessment framework based on maturity grids for manufacturing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that can measure their performance in order to identify the direction for improvement. The main characteristics of manufacturing SMEs are established and performance dimensions, sub-dimensions and measures are identified taking these characteristics into consideration. A self-assessment tool has been developed for performance management in manufacturing SMEs for identified performance dimensions, sub-dimensions and measures.This self-assessment tool will be helpful in directing the owner/manager towards continuous improvement and improved manufacturing strategies. The framework also provides a guideline for learning and managerial action for improvement.

Ahmad Bilal has completed his Masters in Industrial Engineering & Management from Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy and have bachelors in Aerospace Engineering with majors in Air Vehicle Design from IST. He is currently living in Europe where he is involved in management and execution of International Research Projects in Aeronautics.
