Marbles of Cyprus by Alaa Bashir Elgadi, is like a poetic diary written as poems, which contains bohemian reminiscences of a Romantic Libyan poet lived in the northern part of the island of Cyprus, being in quest for beauty and art through the different eyes of the people, places, and things whom he saw, met, befriended, and loved during his stay on this enthralling Mediterranean island as a Master student from September 2014 till July 2016.

Alaa Bashir Elgadi urodzi si w Misuracie w Libii w 1990 roku. Studiowä j zyk angielski i literatur na Uniwersytecie w Misuracie, a nast pnie uzyskä tytu magistra literatury angielskiej na Cypryjskim Uniwersytecie Mi dzynarodowym. Obecnie wyk ada na Uniwersytecie w Misuracie. Elgadi skomponowä ponad 150 wierszy romantycznych.
